Summer has come and for most this would mean taking time-off  to relax and unwind, and for most Filipinos this means going to Boracay for some sun and sand.

Here at Greenpeace we are stepping up our “Save the Climate, Save Boracay” campaign to target holiday-goers bound for Boracay this summer break with an intensive tourist awareness project to make island, one of the country’s top tourist spots, into a climate-friendly destination.

Angel Aquino is no stranger to the limelight. She has always been a favorite cover girl of various magazines. Starting out as a model, she later became a successful film actress and television lifestyle host. Now, Angel is now a Greenpeace Ocean Defender.

Angel Aquino is no stranger to the limelight. She has always been a favorite cover girl of various magazines. Starting out as a model, she later became a successful film actress and television lifestyle host. Now, Angel is now a Greenpeace Ocean Defender.

Angel Aquino is no stranger to the limelight. She has always been a favorite cover girl of various magazines. Starting out as a model, she later became a successful film actress and lifestyle television host. Angel is now a Greenpeace Ocean Defender.

Last July 19, 2006, the gala premiere of “Donsol” was held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). It is one of the entries at the 2nd Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival where Angel played a lead role. Donsol’s theme is learning to love again despite the possibility of another heartbreak. In this film, Angel and lead actor Sid Lucero starred as two strangers who were troubled by past heartaches. Eventually, they found themselves drawn to each other as they let love surface anew. Thus the tagline, “love is an ocean of emotions.”
