As we closed our Media Training workshop two days ago, I made an analogy of Greenpeace’s campaign work as an ongoing narrative of our struggle to save the planet…

…Perhaps the same could be said of a person’s work for Greenpeace as Lea our Philippine Media Campaigner, moves on to a new chapter in her work for us, under a new capacity

as our new Regional Media Manager (based in Bangkok), taking care of all our communications across the three countries that Greenpeace Southeast Asia works in.

Having started at around the same time that she did makes me glad to say that Lea has been a very good friend and colleague who has helped me grow both in this line of work and as an individual.

After authoring almost all of the Philippine office’s publications, producing videos of our actions and whipping up kickass communication strategies for the past 4 years makes us in the Philippine office both joyful and poignant as we are now faced with the reality that she will no longer be a part of our daily life here at the office in Manila.

But true enough this is not the end of the line of our work here with Lea as she is still be a part of Greenpeace Southeast Asia and her new post opens up a new chapter in her tour of duty with us.

Here’s to new beginnings🙂
